Saturday 18 April 2015, 3pm – 6pm

St Marks Church Hall, Princes Street, Southend-on-Sea

£5 per person, or what you can afford. Kids and performers are free.

With thanks to Milton Community Partnership, and the Forum’s Simon Wallace, who helped make this happen.

To tie in with World Book Night (Simon’s idea) this soup will have a literary theme.

Bring books to give away, bring stories and poetry (we’ll have a spoken word performance space) bring your skills in iillustration, come dressed as a favourite character, or contribute anything else book or story related.

And enter our Flash Fiction competition! Three age categories. See the Flash Fiction page for details.

As ever, we’ll be after some volunteer chefs. We might be able to cook on the night. (Alphabet soup..?)

Rough timings:

3pm arrive, chat, share, learn

4pm presentations of ideas

4.30pm SOUP and voting

5pm performance space

5.30pm winner announced

5.45pm wrap up
