A lot’s happening for Southend Soup!
Web designer Geek Fairy Jo is souping up our blog site, so watch out for our new look. We’re also setting ourselves up with a constitution so that we can get a bank account (with Essex Savers Credit Union) to fundraise for Soup events. Fear not: we won’t lose our anarchy magic!
Meanwhile, Mark Massey continues to develop his Story of Soup (of which I’ve had a sneak peek). He’s interested in speaking with previous winners, so we might be in touch about this.
In an astonishing feat of organisation; we have FOUR dates in the diary. You’re welcome to submit your Good Idea for whichever one you can attend. I’ve amended the submission form so you can pick a date.
We’ll add each event to Eventbrite about a month in advance so people can book tickets. It’s great if you do book tickets – helps us ensure we make enough soup. You can book for March here.
Forthcoming soups:
Sunday 20th March, Spring Soup at Ekco Social Club, 2pm – 5pm
Sunday 22nd May, Cricket Soup at Southendians Club, 3pm – 6pm
Saturday 2nd July, Volunteer Special Soup at SAVS, 1pm – 4pm
Sunday 4th September, Autumn Soup at Leigh Community Centre, 3pm – 6pm
Get submitting, get booking and TELL YOUR FRIENDS! (Especially tell any neighbours that might get much company.)
Good luck with it!
Thank you! 🙂
